Microbac’s Chicagoland Division offers comprehensive sampling and analytical services for the environmental, food, and microbiology markets, as well as related services to a variety of clients. The laboratory staff performs the following analyses:
• Organics: Semivolatiles, Volatiles, Explosives, PCB/Pesticides, Herbicides, TPH (DRO, GRO), TCLP/SPLP Organics
• Metals: TCLP Metals, Total Metals, ICP/ICPMS, Graphite Furnace AA, Cold Vapor Mercury, Hexavalent Chromium, Low Level Mercury (Method 1631)
• General/ Physical Testing: Wet Chemistry
• Air Analysis: VOCs (TO-15), PAHs (TO-13)
• Microbiology: CEA, Aerobic Plate Count, Anaerobic Plate Count, Total Coliform, Fecal Coliform, E. coli, Listeria, Salmonella, Legionella, Staphylococcus aureus, Yeast & Mold/Fungi, Spoilage Organisms
The Merrillville, Indiana-based laboratory provides extensive Field Services, including NPDES Permit/Industrial Discharge, Solid Hazardous Waste, Storm Water Sampling, Ground Water Sampling, and Flow Studies. A Project Management system is utilized, featuring project managers who coordinate all aspects of clients’ activities. Paperless reporting and extensive Electronic Data Delivery (EDD) capabilities are available.
The NELAC-accredited laboratory enjoys a very balanced, diversified market base across consulting, government and private sector clients. The laboratory's broad participation within sectors includes substantial project experience.
The laboratory's 12,000-square foot facility has been designed to optimize production flow, safety, and quality control. A separate 4,000-square foot facility houses the administrative functions of the operation.
