The Kentucky Division's primary capabilities include: stormwater, groundwater, and wastewater testing and sampling; environmental remediation; RCRA regulatory analysis; and food microbiology testing. In addition, Kentucky offers food chemistry services and asbestos inspections and analysis. Kentucky is ISO 17025 accredited.
In January 2003, the Kentucky Division purchased The Lab, Inc., a drug testing laboratory in Louisville, KY.
