Ohio Valley Division Overview (.pdf)
Microbac’s Ohio Valley Division has been offering environmental analyses and related services to industrial, consulting and government clients for more than 30 years. The Ohio Valley Division laboratory staff performs volatiles, semi-volatiles, metals, wet chemistry, TCLP/SPLP and HPLC analyses on soil, water, sediment and waste matrices.
The laboratory enjoys a very balanced, diversified market base across consulting, government and private sector clients. Many of the Ohio Valley Division's clients are in private sector industries such as chemicals, plastics, adhesives, aluminum, ferroalloys, and petroleum. The laboratory's broad participation with the industrial sector includes on-going compliance monitoring (NPDES and RCRA), waste characterization, assessment, investigation, remediation, and property transfer.
The Ohio Valley Division serves as a supporting laboratory to the environmental consulting sector nationwide. In addition to its work through these third party consultants on commercial, DOD and DOE sites around the world, the Ohio Valley Division directly contracts with government agencies, including the U. S. Army Corps of Engineers, state Environmental Protection Agencies and individual military bases representing all branches of service globally.
The laboratory's 31,000 square foot facility in Marietta, Ohio was built in 1987 and underwent a major expansion in 2000. Built specifically as an environmental laboratory, the facility integrates seventeen (17) separate HVAC zones, with the volatiles section situated in a separate wing and zone-controlled.
