AGROCHEMICAL TESTING

The Agrochemical Sciences Department at Microbac Laboratories Southern Testing & Research Division offers research and testing services related to pesticide residues for the agrochemical, agricultural, and food industries. The wide array of services offered are designed to meet the needs of each of these industries. Agrochemical testing services include:

• Trace level residue testing for over 200 compounds in vegetation and foods

• Development of analytical methods for residues in a particular matrix

• Tobacco Analysis
- pesticide residue analyses (including USDA Import Pesticides List)
- tobacco-specific nitrosamine (TSNA) analyses
- chemical constituents
- trace metals
- microbiological analyses

State-of-the-Art Instrumentation and Equipment

Microbac's Southern Testing & Research Division was built from the ground up to maximize laboratory efficiency. The laboratory's wide range of instrumentation and equipment includes:

• Gas chromatography (FID, ECD, NPD, FPD, TCD, PID, Antek (TSNA), and Hall detectors)

• HPLC (UV/vis, fluorescence, refractive index and beta-particle detectors)

• Ion chromatography with conductivity detection

• HPLC/MS/MS

• GC/mass spectrometers (quadrupole)

• Environmental chambers to accommodate many different storage conditions
