Environmental Testing

The effects of environmental conditions on the performance of materials and equipment can be evaluated using Microbac's diverse environmental laboratory. We can control humidity, temperature, pressure, shock, acceleration, radiation, and salinity to simulate any outdoor environment, and determine the environmental effects on materials and equipment.

Temperature and Humidity
Chambers up to 27 cubic feet in size
Programmable temperature/humidity profiles of cycles
Temperature range: -250 to 600°F
Humidity range: 20 to 98% (room temperature to 185°F)

Thermal Shock
Air environments from -250 to 600°F

Accelerated Outdoor Weathering Using UV Light
Continuous UV light or alternating UV and water exposure conforming to ASTM G154, G151, D4329

Salt Spray (Fog)
Conforming to ASTM B117 and MIL-STD 810

Constant Acceleration
Centrifuge capable of up to 20,000 g’s for samples > ¼ lb

Mechanical Shock
Up to 2,000 g’s for samples > 100 lb
2,000 to 10,000 g’s for samples > 10 lb
Half-sine and sawtooth impact profiles

Altitude
Capable of simulating conditions from sea level to 150,000 ft

Testing Perform to Military Protocol
MIL-STD 202F, MIL-STD 883D, MIL-STD 331B, MIL-STD 1344A and MIL-STD 810E

Data Acquisition
Capable of recording multiple sensor inputs such as thermocouples, pressure sensors, load cells, voltage signals, etc.
