Pipe Testing: More than Failure Testing
For more than 25 years, Microbac Laboratories, Inc. has provided a wide array of pipe testing services and expertise to a variety of industries. Our expertise spans more than simple pipe failure testing, but includes environmental analysis, pressure testing, and pipe rehabilitation analysis.
Pipe Pressure Testing
Microbac’s Hauser Division offers a wide variety of pressure testing/analyses for Plastic Pipe and Fittings in accordance with ASTM, AWWA, IAPMO, NSF, and all other applicable standards. Microbac tests to all applicable standards, and is able to design test equipment to suit any performance requirement (or newly proposed standard). All of our equipment is calibrated to identified, traceable requirements and thoroughly controlled during testing for precise control parameter isolation.
Pipe Failure Testing
Microbac technicians have extensive experience in problem solving of failed parts, providing insight into current on-the-floor problems, often due to in-proper drying, barrel profiles, mold temps, or improper materials. We help you identify the source of the problem, so you can quickly and economically fix issues that are causing failures.
Microbac is accredited to ISO 17025 by the American Association for Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA) for mechanical testing and chemistry, and by the Geosynthetic Accreditation Institute (GAI) for polyethylene materials (product specific). The laboratory is a member of the Plastics Pipe Institute (PPI) and ASTM International.
The Microbac Hauser division follows standard specifications from the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO), an organization which advocates transportation-related policies and provides technical services to support states in their efforts to efficiently and safely move people and goods. All of Microbac’s pipe testing by AASHTO standard specifications is for AASHTO M252 and M294 polyethylene drainage pipe.
