    Anthony Canter

    Laboratory Director for Microbac’s Marietta Division

    Anthony Canter is the Laboratory Director for Microbac’s Marietta Division, overseeing its laboratory operations and business direction. He also serves as technical director and leader of the Volatiles and Semivolatiles Operation best practices groups.

    Anthony earned a B.S. degree in Chemistry with a minor in mathematics. In 2008, he started working for Microbac and has taken roles as a chemist, supervisor, and director, working in both the organics and inorganics labs. As the Marietta Director, Anthony and his team have given 100% to create a successful lab location. He is committed to successful leadership and skillfully combines technical expertise with approachable, insightful guidance.

    Anthony supports Mid-Ohio Valley Climate Action, is active in the martial arts community, and worked to earn his 24-Hour Radiation Safety Officer Certificate. Anthony is passionate about environmental conservation, chemistry, academia, and new technology. Happily married and the father of two boys, he lives in Marietta, Ohio, where he teaches General Chemistry Lab part-time at Marietta College. He enjoys playing the acoustic guitar and the harmonica, and mountain biking is his newest obsession.
