Kelly Derken

Kelly Derken manages Microbac’s Microbiology Department and serves as a Lab CS Contact. A tenacious problem solver and candid communicator, Kelly is an accomplished leader adept at handling any challenge. She takes pride in knowing her dedicated team works each day to protect public health.

​A lifelong learner, Kelly holds a B.S. in Biochemistry from Colorado State University. She was a longtime Girl Scout and continues to support the organization and its values. Born in Connecticut and currently living in Colorado with her two cats, Kelly spends her weekends enjoying nature, hiking, skiing, and reading.
