Physical / Wet Chemistry
From appearance to viscosity, Microbac offers a wide suite of physical/wet chemical analyses.
Appearance: Utilize our internal method to compare the appearance of a product to your specification.
Colorimetric Limit Tests such as arsenic <211>, chloride/sulfate <221> or iron <241> are performed routinely in our laboratory.
Density/Specific Gravity by USP <841> using a pycnometer.
Dissolution testing utilizing paddles or baskets by USP <711> on immediate or extended-release dosage forms is offered.
Disintegration by USP <701> is harmonized with the Ph. Eur. and JP and is a means to measure the time it takes a tablet to disintegrate in a fluid.
Identification tests by USP <191> are performed routinely by experienced raw material chemists.
Kjeldahl distillations are used for the determination of nitrogen following USP <461>.
Titrations: Microbac offers titrations from simple acid/base to a more complicated Alginates determination by USP <311>.
Viscosity: Characterize your product using our capillary Ubbelohde or Cannon viscometers or rotational viscosity utilizing Brookfield spindles using USP <911>, <912> or other custom methods.
