Angela Hollingsworth
Microbac’s Director of Microbiology and VirologyAngela L. Hollingsworth is Microbac’s Director of Microbiology and Virology, providing excellence in this role for 28 years. Her work includes routinely performing antimicrobial efficacy tests and coordinating laboratory projects from design to completion. She specializes in clinical studies and analyzes the antimicrobial activity of disinfectants, sanitizers, antiseptics, and antimicrobial devices. Angela qualifies as Study Director and Principal Investigator for clinical studies with skin antiseptics.
Angela holds a B.S. in Biology and is a licensed Virginia Waste Operator, the Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ). She is experienced in Good Laboratory Practice, Good Clinical Practice, Good Manufacturing Practice, ISO 17025 Guidelines, and Regulations, and is directly involved in studies submitted to the Food and Drug Administration, the Environmental Protection Agency, and other regulatory bodies.
Angela is passionate about meeting client needs for standardized testing, and designing unique industry studies for research and development. A clear and concise communicator, Angela is known as a responsible, dependable team member and a great listener. Her distinctive track record and industry experience allow her to accommodate non-conventional testing requests, and ably lead her staff in their respective roles. Executing projects from start to finish, issuing proposals, conducting studies, and providing final reports are all rewarding aspects of her job. Angela supports St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and the American Cancer Society. Angela is a devoted dog lover and has two wonderful Yorkshire Terriers.
