Brittany Smith

Brittany Smith is Microbac’s Operations Manager, overseeing the efficient, productive daily function of its environmental laboratory. She coordinates workflow across departments, manages staff schedules and performance, and maintains safety and quality guidelines.

​Passionate about protecting public health and the environment through accurate, high-quality data, Brittany’s extensive training includes coursework in drinking water and wastewater, data integrity and audit, method validation, proficiency testing, OSHA laboratory safety, bloodborne pathogens, hazardous waste, chemical hygiene, and emergency response. She is committed to a safe, organized, and efficient laboratory that produces reliable results and exceptional service.

​Brittany is known as a clear communicator, thoughtful leader, and supportive listener who guides her valued team toward quality and excellence. She aims to provide an environment where team members feel empowered, respected, and able to grow and succeed in their work.

​Brittany loves owls and lighthouses, enjoys reading, hiking, and camping, and spends as much time as possible on the beach. She looks forward to starting a family soon.
