Carolyn Vollentine

Carolyn Vollentine is the Service Center Manager for Microbac’s Erie, Pennsylvania, laboratory, overseeing all aspects of operations. She leads the microbiology lab manager and a team of four field service technicians serving a large regional area. Carolyn also serves as Customer Service Specialist, managing each stage of sample receipt, processing, and reporting. With more than 20 years at Microbac, she brings deep expertise, strong leadership, and a longstanding commitment to both clients and colleagues. 

Carolyn earned a B.A. in environmental studies–geography, with an emphasis in geosciences, from PennWest University. Outside of work, she enjoys video gaming and is eagerly anticipating a new PS5 for her birthday. She and her husband, Ron, have been together for 35 years and share their home with Otto, a 3-year-old Rottweiler, and Bow, a 34-year-old Timneh grey African parrot.
