Inactivation and Disinfection of Zika Virus on a Nonporous Surface

Microbac’s Director of Virology & Molecular Biology, Steve Zhou, Ph.D., is corresponding author in the newly published study: “Inactivation and Disinfection of Zika Virus (ZIKV) on a Nonporous Surface”. Published in the Journal of Microbial & Biochemical Technology, the study was conducted to evaluate the environmental stability of ZIKA on hard, non-porous surfaces such as glass, and to provide inactivation efficacy information for some commonly employed physical and chemical (disinfectant) approaches.

Results of this study are essential to assuring the safety of laboratory and healthcare workers and their facilities from the emergence of the Zika virus. Click here for the complete research article in the Journal of Microbial & Biochemical Technology
