Most recently, our virology laboratory in Sterling, Virginia was at the forefront of the COVID pandemic, with a viral library that includes several live coronaviruses such as: Human Coronavirus, SARS, MERS and SARS-CoV-2 standard and variant strains.

As a leading laboratory for antimicrobial/antiviral testing for disinfectants, antiseptics, and medical devices, we are excited to now offer regulatory-compliant testing to obtain a direct claim against Mpox virus for liquid, spray or wipe disinfectants, sanitizing devices, diagnostic tools, antiviral drugs and many other products!

Mpox virus is currently spreading across multiple countries where cases were not reported previously. On July 23, 2022, the World Health Organization declared Mpox a public health emergency of international concern.

The virus is an enveloped, double-stranded DNA virus that belongs to the Orthopoxvirus genus of the Poxviridae family. Mpox is transmitted to humans through close contact with an infected person or animal, or with material contaminated with the virus.
